Your Balayage Journey at GP Hair Experience
1. Choose Your Starting Point
First time with us? Start with an Intake & Hair Test. This allows our team to understand your hair history, evaluate your hair condition and recommend the safest path. Already a GP client? You can book your balayage directly, according to your hair length and preferred professional.
4. Application & Lightening Check
The balayage is applied with precision and intention. Each section is placed to create natural movement, brightness and dimension. During the process, our team carefully performs a Lightening Check to confirm whether the hair has reached the right level before moving to the next step. This is where technique meets artistry — and where every detail matters.
7. Toner
After the lightening process, we refine your color with toner to create the desired shade, softness and balance. Depending on your hair’s needs, treatment support may also be recommended to improve shine, softness and manageability.
2. Welcome & Consultation
When you arrive at GP Hair Experience, our team welcomes you and starts by understanding your goal. We look at your inspiration, your current hair, your lifestyle and the type of result you want: soft, bright, dimensional, natural, bold or low-maintenance.
5. The GP Pause
While your color develops, you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the salon. This is part of the GP Hair Experience: a moment to slow down, enjoy a cappuccino, feel taken care of and maybe even taste our famous empada. Because a transformation should feel beautiful before the final reveal too.
8. Blow-Dry, Styling & Reveal
Your balayage is finished with a professional blow-dry and styling, so you can see the full result with movement, shine and dimension. Then comes the moment where everything comes together: natural dimension, soft brightness and a result designed around you.
3. Hair Assessment & Color Strategy
Before the technical work begins, we assess your hair’s condition, previous color history, texture, porosity and strength. This step helps us define what is possible, what is safe and what will deliver the best result over time. Your colorist creates a personalized balayage plan. This may include strategic light placement, shadow root, toner and a customized approach according to your hair length, base color and desired result.
6. Shadow Roots
After the lightening process, we create a soft shadow root to blend your natural root with the lighter sections. This step helps soften any harsh lines, create a more natural transition and make your balayage grow out more beautifully over time.
9. Homecare Guidance
Before you leave, our team explains how to maintain your balayage, protect your color and keep your hair healthy between appointments. We may recommend professional products and future treatments according to your hair’s needs.
